Daniel Tobin’s political campaign background encompasses supervisory roles in Florida gubernatorial and congressional elections, augmented by experience consulting to political candidates on campaign strategy and execution.
As President of Tobin Consulting, Inc., which he founded in 2003, Daniel advises clients on selecting communication vehicles with the ability to reach the maximum number of targeted voters — and in the most timely and cost-effective fashion. He also orchestrates the execution of clients’ fundraising, direct-mail, campaign planning, grass roots programs, and GOTV initiatives.
The impetus for the creation of ElecTech™ was Daniel’s firm belief that the key to a successful political campaign was the ability to communicate highly individualized messages to voters. In this regard, the analytical and targeting capabilities he incorporated into ElecTech™ are modeled after the data mining and market segmentation techniques long used by major U.S. corporations to reach their desired customers. Through his hands-on field campaign management experience, Daniel gained an understanding of the “real world” environment of a canvassing effort, which has been reflected in the user-friendly design that is the hallmark of the ElecTech™ system. On an ongoing basis, Daniel guides the technology team in implementing system enhancements that provide our clients with the ever more useful data and tools, while continuing to consult to clients on political strategy and execution.
Daniel previously served as a consultant to the Florida Democratic Party during the 2002 mid-term elections, where he supervised a staff in engineering the party’s successful GOTV initiative in Broward County — a region that has more registered voters than the total found in seven U.S. states. During a prior role as Executive Director of the Broward Democratic Executive Committee, Daniel oversaw all administrative matters of the organization’s 800-member committee, including budgeting, subcommittee appointments, and member elections. He also organized GOTV programs.
Daniel’s career in politics began with his participation in the 2002 Reno for Governor Campaign in Florida. After quickly demonstrating field management abilities, he was appointed Statewide Volunteer Coordinator, where he supervised a staff in directing recruitment and volunteer initiatives.
Daniel’s B.A. is in Sports Management.
